No matter your position on the bike, every rider now benefits from 20mm of smooth, frictionless travel between the stem and the head tube. Future Shock keeps your hands and bars stable for a smoother ride, with more control to keep you fast, safe and confident.

Our drop-clamp design exposes more of the seatpost to increase flex, but “more” isn’t always “better.” The Pavé seatpost controls that flex for optimal vertical compliance. Together, they form AfterShock technology, and when paired with the Roubaix’s stiff rear triangle, they deliver a smooth ride without losing efficiency.

The Roubaix SL8 is the most comfortable road bike our Ride Science team has ever tested, reducing handlebar and saddle impacts by 53% compared to the competition. With Future Shock 3.0, the wheel moves quickly over bumps while the rider’s mass remains stable, maintaining momentum over rough terrain. With clearance for up to 40mm tires, this endurance road machine delivers better traction than ever on rough roads and even light gravel. Thanks to the lightweight and super-efficient Specialized tires, this extra tire volume and traction comes at no cost.
